Phew. Hi everyone! After a several month-long hiatus, I'm back. I'm pumped to resume the regular blog, but first are some updates on this wonky little life of mine:

1) I got my drivers' license! After two years in the making, I completed the program (discussed in a previous post) and took my road test. Passed on the first try baby!! Did you know that if you use hand controls to drive, the DMV can make you go on the FREEWAY during your exam?!-- (not a normal requirement). Merging was slightly terrifying, but I must've done something right since I walked out legally allowed to burn some rubber!

Anyway, next steps are finding a suitable vehicle and adapting it with my specific needs. There's still a ways to go, but it was so liberating finishing this part of the process. One step closer to independence! I'll be sure to give a car tour of the finished product-- air fresheners and all. 🚗🚙🚗

2) Okay, this is a big one that is DEFINITELY going to need several follow-up posts. Long story short, my family unexpectedly adopted an eight week-old puppy, and we are currently training her to be my eventual service dog. YEP. YOU READ THAT RIGHT. PUPPY. SERVICE DOG. MINE. Her name is Bailey, she's a standard poodle, and she's stolen our hearts already, even though she's definitely a little gremlin sometimes😈 I can't even begin to explain the doors she'll open up for me (both figuratively AND literally lol), but I'll get there. Get ready for tonsssss of Bailey and training content!!

See y'all soon!
