Hi friends! For those who don't know, this blog started out as an assignment for a writing class at USC. This project was my literal DREAM, as I've been wanting an excuse to write down some of my stories for years, but never had the motivation to do so without a push. So here we are!
Technically, the requirements for this project end after this post. I will have fulfilled the obligations of the assignment and am more than welcome to walk away. But I don't think I will.
In the past two months, I have written about everything from driving to traveling to simply handling my ✨unique✨ life. It's always fun and rewarding, but by the time I get to the end of the article, I have five more things I want to explain, five more stories I want to tell, five more questions I want to ask.
These stories and experiences are important to tell. Does the importance lie in others or myself? I couldn't tell you. Maybe a combination of both? Either way, this perspective of the world is impossible to recount in seven blog posts, and I want to try really hard to finish the job. I don't know how; maybe I'll keep this website going, or use it as the basis for a book or another project, but it can't end here.
I still haven't discussed summer camp with Hasidic Jews or bathrooms or the time my family traveled to a village in rural Brazil for me to be seen by a world-renowned healer. We essentially joined a cult for three weeks. Now THAT'S a story.
And so, I'm not done yet. Thank you for reading, and more importantly, thank you for sitting with me :)
